At long last the second album is complete! It’s been almost a year since DFF put together ideas and riffs for songs and worked them into a complete album package. All the work was done during time off on weekends with the liberal use of strong coffee, many cartons of cigarettes and about a ton of junk food.

It must be said from the get-go that the DFF- Breathe Again album is a dynamic and important debut album project for our engineer/mixer/producer Matias Ahonen. DFF also went through a necessary creative process on this album that enabled them to advance their playing abilities as a unit and their use of old fashioned but unique recording methods in this day and age (which basically means playing the tracks live in-studio as opposed to multitracking every song). Maybe the boys are also evolving into more advanced life forms…only time will tell!

The songs have been written using the secret spaces between notes more effectively to create a harmonic and pleasurable domain to wander around in. These spaces within the music are easily forgotten when recording high volume Marshall stacks I suppose; but nevertheless the name of this album introduces one perception for the listener already... Luckily this reality isn’t carved into stone, so the listener has an absolute right to create their own story with the musical framework supplied by Dark Filth Fraternity.

This is the bottom line for the band, believing in the music made and following their creative energy without question.
